ONAM 2016 At Sri Karthikeyan School, Karaikkudi.

           While teaching about the national festivals in Social science to fourth standard students, I thought for a while. We are celebrating Deepawali, Pongal, Christmas, Ramzan, New year- both Tamil and English, Karthigai, Independence day, Republic day, Children's Day,and so many days at school among our students. But this time,   We have planned to celebrate ONAM festival.

               My students came to school eagerly with a lot of flowers. We have started to take the flowers due to their glowing colours in separate plates.We drew kolams and decorated them with the colourful flower petals.Students dance and sing around the ATHAPPOO KOLAM with pleasure.

                 All other class students visited the site and felt so happy.The aims and objectives of the Keralite festival was keenly explained to the students.All the students felt pride in producing the kolams and and learned a lot by posing a lot of questions.
